'The Pirates of Penzance': 27th-31st March

Join GWOS for a splendid swashbuckling evening. This well-known show is packed with memorable songs: I am the very model of a modern Major-General, A Policeman’s Lot Is Not Happy One, I am a Pirates King, the beautiful waltz Poor Wand’ring One, the gloriously melodic Hail poetry! and many more tunes. Gilbert and Sullivan poke fun at many English types and institutions. Their affectionate fun is as topical today as when it first delighted audiences over a hundred years ago.

We welcome back as conductor the eminent Worcester musician Donald Hunt. In charge of Production is Roberta Morrell, a former soloist with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company, who now directs amateur and professional companies worldwide.

Tickets: £9 - £14. Available from Worcester Live: 01905 611427
Matinee 2.30pm, Evening 7.30pm
